EMP - Enterprise Management Project 

What is it all about?

The EMP is an exciting Project, designed for students to want to get a head start on their colleagues, who want an advantage over their peers when they start university, who are enthusiastic about their futures and want that future to start NOW!

EMP has been created to cater for students who want to explore and develop their skills in:

• Team dynamics and Problem solving - skills required by every professional organisation and every career
• Management and Leadership - not taught at school!
• Entrepreneurship - everyone wins!
• Marketing and Communication - how do the "big boys" do it?  Learn the secrets of big companies.
• Time Management

Why should you consider EMP?

You are currently in Year 12 and you want an advantage over your peers at school and in life in general.

You will have the opportunity to meet and network with like-minded students.

You will increase you skills in aspects of your future career (whatever that may be) that you will not normally encounter until you actually start it.

Throughout the Project, you will be observed and interviewed by teachers on how you approach different aspects of the challenges given to you, and after the course, a reference outlining your strengths will be posted to you.  This is an invaluable asset for your portfolio.

What do you actually do?

Participants will work in small groups (arranged before the Project commences), planning and designing an innovative product or service that you will research, market, finance, produce (in prototype/model form), promote and sell at a Trade Display. 

Throughout the Project, you will be taught by experts in their respective fields, and guided through the whole process - forming and managing your company, examine the market, promoting your product and writing a business plan to present to potential investors.
