Registration for the Enterprise Management Project now open!

These are some of the comments from the 2006 EMP, held in Rockhampton.

  • Peter (Bonney - Entrepeneur) could make a lot of money and flying around the world selling himself .  I think Peter is a valuable asset to TELG as I have found out from the people I spoke to that he can easily captured the attention of a 16 year-old whose interest might be something else.

  • Today it was a very interesting day and it helped heaps for my group’s project.  I was also able to learn a lot about business and it helped me with my ideas and my career.

  • Inspirational and well-suited to our project.

  • There was a lot to learn about marketing and I believe that Alan covered it all.  Overall, it was an awesome day.

  • Alan (Marketing guest - Alan Tayt) was awesome.  Inspiring, seriously.

  • Although you got shot at close range so that it stung, reddened and bruised it was brilliant (Paintball)

  • Very inspiring.  Made me really think I can do anything I want.

  • David knows a lot about life for such a young guy.  The talk made me realise the things I really want in life.

  • It (EMP) really gave me a head start on my future because now I know about engineering, marketing and management and what it entails.  I loved this camp.

  • It was an awesome experience.

  • I now know that I like management and marketing.

FEAMP - from an Ex-EMPer and current TELG Ambassador:

The first thing I would like to say is go to FEAMP it rocks! It didn’t

really matter if you had done subjects like physics, chemistry or Maths B/C

because you didn’t have to prove if your product would follow the laws of

these subjects. Basically, your team members and yourself designed, or

entrepreneured shall I say, a scientific product and learnt how to sell it.

The camp focussed on how to sell a scientific product, which is quite

important. Over the three days before the trade show we did everything from

business plans, design, marketing and managing to negotiating for the

millions of dollars required to manufacture the product (which was quite

scary but fun. Our project was $1.2 mil for one year and we owned 80% of the

company – you do the figures = $$$). Then during the trade show you sold

your product to prospective buyers by doing the whole sales pitch thing. It

was great because I met lots of people and if you are a girl don’t feel

intimidated by the whole male dominated engineering idea cause there was

probably more girls than boys. We met some really interesting entrepreneurs,

engineers and businessmen and learnt a lot of valuable lessons. In

conclusion, FEAMP was awesome! Oh, and we went to paintball too!
