Terms and conditions

Participant guidelines and policies

These terms outline expectations, responsibilities and procedures to ensure a safe, fair and positive experience for all participants in TELG programs.

General Conditions

  1. Refunds will only be granted if cancellation is received at least 3 days prior to the course, unless supported by a medical certificate or other extenuating circumstances. All refunds are at the discretion of TELG Operational Directors.
  2. Receipts are issued upon request. Payments via PayPal or Direct Deposit will automatically generate a receipt.
  3. Cheques and cash payments must be received the week prior to course commencement.
  4. Please include remittance advice (Direct Deposit or PayPal receipt) with your registration if required.
  5. All students must behave responsibly. Inappropriate behaviour may result in dismissal, parent/guardian collection, and notification of the student’s school.
  6. If you feel unwell, report immediately to TELG staff. All medication must be declared on the Health Form and remains the student’s responsibility.
  7. Alcohol is strictly prohibited for all students, regardless of age.
  8. Possession or use of illegal substances will result in immediate dismissal.
  9. All accidents must be reported to TELG staff. A First Aid Officer will be identified at the start of the program.
  10. TELG maintains a strong duty of care. All staff and volunteers hold appropriate clearances (e.g. Blue Card) and are committed to maintaining a safe, supportive and respectful environment for all participants.

Accommodation Guidelines

  • You are responsible for your room key. Lost keys must be reported immediately and may incur a replacement cost.
  • Students are not permitted to enter rooms allocated to members of the opposite sex.
  • Rooms should be locked when unoccupied, and valuables secured.
  • Report any concerns or issues to TELG staff or supervising teachers.
  • No smoking is permitted at any time. Triggering fire alarms may result in significant charges.

Health & Safety

TELG places a strong emphasis on student wellbeing. Participants are expected to follow all safety instructions and report any concerns promptly.

Our programs are supervised by trained staff who are committed to maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

Behaviour Expectations

Students are expected to behave respectfully toward staff, peers and facilities at all times.

TELG reserves the right to remove participants whose behaviour compromises safety or the experience of others.

Scholarship Terms and Conditions

Scholarship opportunities are currently not available. When offered, the following conditions apply:

The decision by TELG regarding scholarship recipients is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Scholarship recipients may be asked to provide a brief report and agree to have their contact details shared with the scholarship provider. Participation in ongoing correspondence is optional.

Type A (up to $500)

  • Transport to the nearest ELP (up to $200)
  • Accommodation and meals
  • Project registration fees

Type B (up to $250)

  • Project registration fees
  • Up to two nights’ accommodation
