Spaghetti Bridge Competition Results

Congratulations to the schools and students who participated in this year’s Spaghetti Bridge Competition. Despite the limitations of COVID, and the inevitable change of dates causing many schools to have to withdraw, we had over 200 students and over 65 teams test bridges across 4 locations in Queensland.

We are very pleased to announce this year’s winners:

First Place: Cannon Hill Anglican College “Chactastic” – 63.3 kg load

Second Place: Citipoint Christian College “STEM” – 33.8 kg load

Third Place: Cannon Hill Anglican College “Spathetic” – 29.2 kg

Best newcomer school: Somerset College “Will” – 21.6 kg

As our second-placed team was also the highest placed middle school team, it has been decided to award the prize to the best newcomer school, which also happened to place fourth overall.

Photos of the winning bridges will be posted shortly.

TELG will contact these schools to arrange for the presentation of the cheques and certificates.

There are big plans in place for 2022, and we are very excited to announce that we are returning (again) to our traditional timeslot in August. Stay tuned to our website for more details.

Congratulations to the winning teams, and to all of the teams and students that participated.
